Hello Super Moms,

We know you're not just a mom, you're a powerhouse! You juggle breakfasts, homework, playdates, and now, we're inviting you to add one more exciting role - an entrepreneur!

Introducing our edition of the Side Hustles Pro, Mompreneur 101: Your Step-by-Step Guide to Starting an Online Store! This step-by-step guide is designed to empower you with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to start your own online store. It's time to turn your passion into profit, all from the comfort of your home! Now we are into Part 2!

TLDR;

Here is the short version on how to start your own online store:

  1. Pick a target market - Determine if there’s volume in the target market that you want to go into. How to do that? Go to Facebook or Instagram or any social media platform. Type in the niche/target market (i.e.: urban gardeners, crossfitters, etc.). If you see a Facebook group with over thousands or members or a hashtag with millions of posts, then you know that there’s life in that target market.

  2. Determine ONE single problem you can solve from your target market - You need to figure out what is this deep seated problem a lot of those people in your target market are experiencing.

  3. Create/Source a Product/Solution that will solve that ONE single problem - Once you determined their problem, now you need to come up with the product or the service that will solve their ONE problem. You need that problem first before the product/service not the other way around.

  4. Create an Online Store Where they can get the product/solution to their problem - Now you need a way to sell the product/solution to your target market to make their life easier. This online store will display what the product/service can do, how they work, and what your target customers will be like if they use them. An online store is also your payment gateway where you can collect payments.

  5. Let them know your product/service exists to solve their ONE problem - Now having an online store is not enough. No one will go to your store if you NEVER told anyone that your product/service exists. This is where brand awareness and marketing comes in. You need to get the word out there. You need to let your target market know that there is A SOLUTION to their ONE PROBLEM.
